The Socorro Soil & Water
Conservation District has a Noxious Weed Treatment Program for
the residents in our district. We will come out to your property
and survey for the presence of noxious weeds. We will develop a
treatment program for your infestation. We will apply herbicide
to the noxious weeds, following EPA label requirements.
What is a noxious weed? A noxious weed is a plant that is not
native to the
North American continent. The New Mexico State Statute
addressing noxious
weeds is the Noxious Weed Management 76-7D-1 through 76-7D-6.
The Socorro Soil & Water Conservation District has several
management plans
in place for noxious weeds that were developed with other land
management
agencies within Socorro County. Click on the links below to view
these
plans, the Socorro County Noxious Weed list, and other
information.
