The Socorro Soil & Water
Conservation District offers a Cost Share Program to all
residents within our district. The program offers up to $3000 in
cost share assistance for agricultural soil and water
conservation practices and up to $300 in cost share assistance
for urban soil and water conservation practices. The maximum
paid to any individual per fiscal year is $3000. Our fiscal year
is July 1 through June 30. Applications are approved on a first
come, first serve basis.
The Socorro Soil & Water
Conservation District also allows Cost Share Assistance
on irrigation well rehabilitation. The well must already be in
place and used for irrigation of agricultural land. Only two
well rehabilitation Cost Share Assistance applications are
approved per fiscal year on a first come, first serve basis.
Applicants must submit the Cost Share Application form and the
Well Rehabilitation Cost Share form. Also, a diagnosis of the
problem and a estimate need to be submitted from the well
drilling company.
The Socorro Soil & Water
Conservation District has a Soil Testing Assistance Program
in which we will cost share 50% of the cost of macronutrient
soil testing with a maximum of $150 per year.
